Custom MassageCustom massage fuses integrative techniques into the massage session. This allows the therapist to use a more holistic approach to address your body's specific needs. With any trauma, recovery or overuse, the body gets misaligned; each technique facilitates a specific need. Some techniques aid in repair of tissue, others release compensation patterns, while some increase range of motion and flexibility. A custom massage varies techniques through out the session to provide optimal massage and bodywork therapy.

Swedish MassageThe perfect massage for ultimate relaxation! The Swedish Massage is the most popular type of massage due to the use of long, flowing, soothing massage strokes. These relaxing stokes blended with the kneading sensation of petrissage allows the body to relax, the mind quiets and the soul replenishes. Swedish massage is also exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. It is a full body effect towards relaxation.

Deep Tissue MassageDeep Tissue Massage is similar in style to Swedish massage. Yet, as the name implies, deeper pressure is used. Deep tissue focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and ligaments, releasing chronic muscle tension. Chronic muscle tension can bind down the fascia (the connective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints). This tension acts like a knot in the musculature system, causing pain and postural distortion, impacting how we feel and move through life. Deep Tissue is used to release knots, break up adhesions, and smooth out muscle fibers!

Neuromuscular TherapyThrough cycles of pressure and release, Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is used to isolate the point of musculature pain. This pain is caused by a trigger point, a miscommunication between bodily systems. The wiring between the brain, nerve and muscle have a kink causing musculature pain referrals. Trigger point massage releases constricted areas, alleviating pain and increasing range of motion. Regular trigger point therapy helps to naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries, repetitive motion and postural imbalances.

Mayofascial ReleaseHave you ever felt bound down and constricted within your own body? Myo-fascial Release (MFR) is used to release these fascial restrictions. Through direct and indirect sustained pressure, MFR affects the body 3 dimensionally, by releasing collagen adhesions, increasing the body's natural viscosity (i.e. ground substance) and reminding the muscle fibers of their ability to stretch and recoil. MFR is beneficial for conditions entrapping nerves and blood flow, chronic pain and overused muscle groups. Myo-fascial Release decreases pain and improves function, returning your body to a natural and fluid state.
